Our group pursuits multidisciplinary research defining the interfaces between chemistry, materials and engineering. In general, we are interested in creating structually and functionally novel nanomaterials, and their applications towards photonics, sensors, actuators and energy. In this context, we are trying to address the problems such as how to construct hierarchiral nanostructures with a certain order from various primitive nanomaterials (polymeric or inorganic), and how to control the apparent physical properties of the hierarchial nanostructures.
